The first night Granger and I went to the Arc de Triomphe. Earlier that day we drove around this world famous roundabout. Here we are getting close...
And closer...hold on tight! I think we circled three or four times just for the impact. We were all a bit white knuckled - driver and passengers alike! That night we took the metro right to the central monument. No darting across this traffic.
We made it by the skin of our teeth before the elevator up closed for the night. And the views awaiting us were gorgeous.
Granger and I had to pinch each other that here we were with the Champs Elysees ribboning out in front of us. What a night!
The elevator took us up, but we wound our way back down trying not to get dizzy with the 300+ steps. The next night Kirk and Granger went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Connor and I played at the merry go round across the street. We had crepes for dinner along the Seine marveling at the twinkling lights.
We got such a kick from our time with Granger. We got to experience Europe again for the first time through his eyes. There were funny times when he couldn't figure out how to turn on the lights, flush the toilet, or use the sheets (Europeans have duvets instead of a top sheet). But most of all there were exhilerating joys remembering how unique and special this continent really is. Mission accomplished to spend quality time together with my bro. What memories we will always share of our Grand Tour together.Click here for full album photos of our time with Granger (our camera)
